Our senior adults call themselves the "Primetimers" because they are in the prime of their life and service to God. They are very significant in the life of our church. God has used so many of them over the course of our history to help make Selma Baptist what it is today.
Although they are in the Prime of their life, that doesn't mean they sit around and do nothing. The Primetimers go on trips, out to lunch, minister to the Homebound and anything they can think of that might be fun. Activities they have done in the past include:
- Sponsoring a Spaghetti lunch after church
- Held a garage sale
- Sponsored a bake sale
These projects made over $4,200 that went toward the principal of our church note. Their BIG trip this past year was to Gatlinburg, TN to the Jubilee Celebration. Upcoming trip for 2012 is Branson, Missouri and possibly the National Quartet Convention.
Primetimers meet once per month for covered dish, go out to a restaurant or have a picnic lunch at a fun site. Come join them. They do so many things you are bound to like at least one.
