Selma Baptist has partnered with New Vision Church in Dothan, AL to provide Christian outreach to the local community.
We visit with the local neighbors (adults and children) and provide meals, games, crafts, stories...a fun filled afternoon centered around the love of Christ our Savior.

We were blessed recently with a substantial gift from an anonymous donor; therefore, we were able to pass a blessing of $2,400 on to Jesse Nelson of New Vision Church (Dothan, AL) to further their community ministry.

Selma Baptist Church has partnered with Samaria Mission from Christ Baptist Church to evangelize Christ to the Mozambique people.
Samaria Mission is a ministry, a faith mission, working from the platform of the local church, with the task to be obedient to the great commission by effectively becoming involved in the process of church planting through evangelism, discipleship, church development and social upliftment.
We have now sent teams to Mozambique, Africa for the past 4 years. Our partnership with Samaria Mission (a ministry of Christ Baptist Church in Polokwane, South Africa) has yielded fruit for the kingdom of God in great measure.
2007 saw us venture into a new village, Tchale, for the first time in a concentrated and concerted way. One day Selma Baptist hopes to build a sister church in a village in Mozambique.

2/17/12 - From one of our current missionaries:
First, we want to thank all of you who have faithfully supported us financially and with prayer. You are all a part of our team as we continue to live and serve in South Africa and Mozambique.
We arrived in San Angelo earlier this month and shortly after arriving we were able to get some much needed rest. Then we hit the ground running and we have been busy with meetings, Dr. appointments, catching up with friends and speaking opportunities. Britnee even started driver's ed and she passed her test yesterday for her permit. She drove us home tonight. It is hard to believe she is 16!

We will be speaking at PaulAnn Baptist Church this Sunday, February 19th during all 3 services (8:30; 10:00 and 11:30). We also wanted to let you know that PaulAnn is also hosting an African Missions Banquet on Thursday, February 23rd at 6 pm in the Worship Center. Tickets are $10 and it includes a nice dinner. Childcare, up to Pre K is provided. DEADLINE to purchase tickets and signup for childcare is this Sunday, February 19th. Children must have a sack supper. Childcare sign up and tickets are available at The Connection at PaulAnn.
We head back to South Africa in 5 weeks. We are very excited to get back to Africa and continue serving with Samaria Mission. Part of our purpose during our visit to the States is to raise our financial support. Attached you will find a letter with various needs for our family and the mission. Thank you again for all of your support, prayers and encouragement as we continue to serve the Lord in Africa through Samaria Mission.
